Counselling
Counselling is a safe and confidential collaboration between qualified counsellors and clients which aims to promote mental health and wellbeing, enhance self-understanding, and resolve identified concerns. Clients are active participants in the counselling process at every stage (PACFA, http://www.pacfa.org.au/practitioner-resources/counselling-psychotherapy...)
Our counsellors work with children, young people, adults, couples, and families. Issues explored in counselling may include: relationships with self and others, past experiences, parenting, grief and loss, use of alcohol and other substances, depression and anxiety. Sessions may be conducted face-to-face or online.
Our counsellors practise from an integrative framework, drawing from the evidence base of a range of counselling theories. We focus on developing strong working relationships with clients as the basis for a collaborative and hope-informed process.
